A few words from the Club Directors who work directly in partnership with Your Town Your Team on YTYT’s importance to the future of Stockport County FC:
JOHN FITZPATRICK
“It is clear to me that Stockport County may not survive without major reform.
I believe that our Club’s supporters can play a significant role in driving change, towards a more sustainable community focused model, but we have to prove this through deeds, not mere words.
We have created Your Town Your Team as a banner under which all County supporters can unite and work together in partnership with the Club and other key parties.
Join Your Town Your Team to back our idea and ensure that we are representative and inclusive.
Register as a volunteer. The more helpers we attract, the more practical support we can provide for our Club.
Make a donation by text or cheque to help us stabilise our Club and then create a sustainable future.
The time has come for supporters to put our common interests ahead of our petty differences. Make no mistake; our Club is in a fight for survival.
I urge every Stockport County supporter to do whatever you can to help us.
Thank you”
John Fitzpatrick – Club Board Director
JAMES GANNON
“Early this season, I approached my close friend John Fitzpatrick to see what we could do to help mobilise supporters to create a bright future for Stockport County through supporters working together and in genuine partnership with the Club itself.
Our efforts helped create Your Town Your Team, a banner under which all County supporters can unite.
The true life blood of any Club is the fans and a major reason the Club has survived is your loyal and devoted support. The unmistakable truth is that supporters remain the most important aspect of the Club.
YTYT provides the platform for fans that want a greater role for supporters in the Club and my whole involvement at Stockport County was based on the vision of greater fan involvement at every level, including the wider community.
I regularly attend meetings of the Your Town Your Team Coordination Team to help inform and motivate, and with John now in place on the Club Board, fans have a great opportunity to help shape a sustainable future for the Club.
Join Your Town Your Team to back this initiative and ensure that Your Town Your Team is representative and inclusive.
Register as a volunteer. The more volunteers Your Town Your Team attracts, the more practical support can be provided to the Club.
Make a donation by text or cheque to help us stabilise the Club and then create a sustainable future.
As a supporter of the Club myself, I know in my heart how important the Club is to you, and I implore you to do whatever you can to help.
Keep the faith.”
